A vine originated from France. It arrived in Friuli in the first decades of the 18th Century. It’s the second best known wine of the red berry variety in the region. Ruby red in colour verging on purplish, with an intense and herbaceous aroma.
Made with grapes: 100% Cabernet franc
Harvest: Hand harvesting with boxes and selection of healthy grapes.
Vinification temperature: Maceration in stainless steel containers at a temperature of 26-28°C for 10 days.
Alcohol content: 13% by vol.
Tasting notes: Distinctive in its herbaceus flavour, properly tannic, well-orchestrated.
Gastronomy: Goes well with red meat roasts, braised meat and game. Its full flavour perfectly matches seasoned cheese and cold cuts.
