Friulano

Friulano is the flagship wine of Friuli Venezia Giulia region. It is a native vine of very ancient origins. Called Tocai Friulano until 2007, the term Tocai was dropped, following a verdict by the European Supreme Court, leaving only the name Friulano. Straw-yellow in colour with greenish hues, a delicate and pleasing aroma resembling wild flowers and green apples.

Harvest:
Hand harvesting with boxes and selection of healthy grapes.

Vinification temperature:
Vinification at a temperature of 18°C. The wine is bottled 6 months after harvesting.

Alcohol content:
13.5% by vol.

Tasting notes:
Velvety, dry, medium-bodied, with a slight delicate bitterness. Lingering aroma on the finish.

Gastronomy:
Goes well with lean hors d’œuvre, cold meat, broth, fish and white meat pasta dishes. Excellent with prosciutto.

Serving temperature:12-14°C
