It is the most common red berry vine in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Ruby red in colour and a distinctive bouquet with an aroma evoking black cherry, rasberry and blueberry. With ageing, the bouquet is enriched with spicy notes.
Made with grapes: 100% Merlot
Harvest: Hand harvesting with boxes and selection of healthy grapes.
Vinification: Maceration in stainless steel tanks for 8 days at a temperature of 26°/28° C.
Alcohol content: 13% by vol.
Tasting notes: Savoury, medium-bodied, slightly bitter with a lingering and pleasing after-aroma.
Gastronomy: Goes well with grilled red meat, boiled meat, poultry and rabbit stews, roasts and seasoned cheese.
